DNXHD match framerate and resolution

$

Hi! I've been using prores LT for my editing and recently, I've tried DNXHD (LB only, don't need the higher ones) and found out that the file size is way lower than prores LT.

My only problem is I can't find the option to match frame rate and resolution when batch transcoding mp4s to DNXHD. Doing it manually will take a long time when dealing with multiple frame rates and resolutions.

Any suggestions?

AME and multiple timeline export in/out issue

Dear all,

today i was working with PR2018 (second to last version) with about 200 sequence. In every sequence, i've marked in and out (to cut clip after ciak and before the stop).
In order to export fast, i copied PR project in 3 pc Win10 with the same PR2018 version and i queued in AME about 70 clip each computer.
In one computer, AME doesn't consider in and out marker and i exported 70 whole sequence (i noticed only after queue finished...).
Which step i missed? How can i set AME to consider in and out marker in multiple export? In AME i tried this step: selected all clip in queue, click on the first clip setting, changing in "in - out", but only setting in this sequence was changed, not in the ohter 69 sequence...

Thanks in advance.

I just installed Media Encoder from the desktop CC program. It installed smoothly, but when I tried to open it, the splash screen flashed for half a second then disappeared. AME then proceeded to crash.

Adobe Media Encoder is stuck in "Software only" whenever I render out anything. Despite GPU engine being selected it refuses to use it. I have 2 GPU's in my workstation and both sit idol during AME renders. It goes straight to the CPU's every time.

[AEP to MP4] Results in 2 Files: MP4 and M4V

I'm having issues exporting my After Effects file to an MP4 File. I'm using a modified version of the "YouTube 2160p 4K" preset. Everything was pretty much left the way it was except where I checked the "Use Maximum Render Quality" checkbox and changed the audio sample rate down to "44100 Hz". Previous files exported correctly as one MP4 file with this method, but this one seems to act strange. It renders an MP4 file that's just the audio of the project, and a corrupt M4V file that has numbers after the project name. For Example: OBS003.aep = OBS003.mp4 and OBSOO3.10988.303321.m4v. I've rendered it numerous times and each time, the corrupt file's name is always different and varies in size. I've tried to purge the cache in AE/AME and reset the computer--but I still get the same end result. I've tried to recreate the AE Project from scratch and ended up with the same result. I've also tried saving the output file on external drives but end up with the same result. The log file shows that the project outputted successfully as well:

Glitchy GIF Render

So, I just made a quick loop animation in AE and when i try to render it as a GIF with AME, it gets kinda choppy. In both the AE preview and the AME render preview, the gif looks normal. The mp4 version is looking fine, too. I tried desabling and re-enabling the GPU acceleration in AME but i doesn't change a thing. Maybe i'm dumb and skipping something obvious? Idk. I'll link my render settings screenshot and the gif is here https://imgur.com/a/6cNL9LZ, this one i saved in a little smaller resolution but the glitch is the same

24 hours of encoding in Media Encoder for a 2-hour sequence?

Good evening,

I edited a sequence with Premiere Pro CC 2017 with an input file in 4K of 2 hours (3,5 Go), in a sequence in resolution 1280x720 (for Vimeo): the export to H264 format in minimum and maximum speed 5, in VBR 2 passes is announced by Media Encoder to last 24 hours. Having to provide my video before this deadline, I cut my 2h sequence to make 2 sequences of 1h and Media Encoder 2017 now announces me 16h per sequence to export!

Have you ever encountered this kind of export delay (for me, this is the first time I've such a delay) or can you tell me what I could do to reduce the export time?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Bonsoir,

Media Encoder freezes when rendering multiple, or sometimes even just one, file.

I'm trying to change the codec of 300 or so files through Media Encoder. However, if I try to select about 10 files at a time and just change the codec (not even rendering yet) the software freezes and becomes unresponsive.

I can render only about 3 files at a time, one by one, before Encoder freezes, too.

I contacted a technical agent who had access to my computer, and he helped with getting Encoder to work at all, but the freezing is very much still there.

Just let me know what info you want about my hard/software in order for you to best help me.

Dynamic Link and Library sync Problems

$

Pardon some the tediousness of this, but I wanted to be as clear, as I am thorough in regards to what steps I've taken to attempt to rectify these problems.

As mentioned, neither my libraries nor Dynamic Link are working, or my cloud files themselves retrievable in this environment.

I have more than enough horsepower, and more than enough allocated to CC.

I checked AME error logs

I uninstalled all apps

I signed out of CC

I uninstalled CC

I executed Adobe Cleaner

(I went through and deleted all additional files in AppData and Documents that cleaner nor uninstall cover)

I pulled up the log report and though the manifest listed many problems of location, I figured if they've been deleted and cleared out, that would be

better than knowing they are placed in a wrong location. There are some additional cues in there of which I have no idea as to what they are, but perhaps you can determine a problem from those logs. (SEE first video 6:42)

As far as libraries troubleshooting,

I closed out all apps, uninstalled them, uninstalled CC

Ran CC Cleaner

I deleted my CC Libraries folder

I checked my host logs and were clean

I checked proxy settings and they are clean

I also wanted to show me making a simple an animation to offer further context, that, if in the event the DynamicLink was erroring out because it couldn't retrieve the all the files the comp made up from other locations, was considered as well and that as you can see, creating a new ani from scratch still provides the same result, in spite of all these other steps I have thus taken.

Lastly, I wanted to show the conflict with library. As you can see in the last video, in Illustrator, it cannot pull up my libraries, not can I place anything in the panel. However, I can go to my AppData Folder/subfolder, find the library and the files, and open them manually. How is this possible??

As one can tell by my missive made here today, this has been an incredibly frustrating event. I hope this can be fixed. Thank you for your time.

Hi, I hope that you might be able to help me. I need to save an animated GIF I have created in Photoshop CC 2018 into a Quicktime Pro. Res. 422 (HD or 1920 x 1080 preferred, aspect ratio 16:9) file. Any ideas? Many thanks.

Media Encoder hangs during batch

Windows 10 1803

Adobe ME 12.1.2

CUDA with 1x 1070 ti 3x 1080 ti

Trying to encode cineform (.mov) proxies for hundreds of interviews. Every time I set it to go, it makes it through about 3-4 of them before hanging half way through one. Never hangs on the same one twice, just restarts the queue and hangs a few encodes later. Not unresponsive, but the encoding itself is frozen. I am still able to save the queue, but as soon as I go to close the app, it completely freezes and requires shutdown via task manager. Seriously need a fix for this

AME - Dynamic Link error: Can´t connect whith selected application (Adobe Character Animator)

When I try to export a scene to video with "Adobe Media Encoder" in "Adobe Character Animator", AME returns an error, saying that it is impossible to read the origin and when I tried to add a new origin in AME queue and I selected the .chproj archive (character animator archive) , AME returns a Dynamic Link error sying that it can not connect to the selected application (Character animator in this case).

This is the error that I find in the error log of the AME.

- File of origin: F: \ ... \ larguito Puppet.chproj
  - Output file: C: \ ... \ Desktop \ Scene - larguito.mp4
  - Preset used: YouTube HD 1080p
  - Video:

  - Coding time: 00:00:00
08/20/2018 10:59:59 AM: Coding error
------------------------------------------------------------

The origin can not be read. Check if it has been moved or removed.

------------------------------------------------------------

The version of Adobe Character Animator is 1.1.1 and the version of Adobe Media encoder is 12.0.1

Last time I used this applications together they worked fine, but today withouth any changes I find this. ¿How I can fix? Please Help me.

Precise Bitrate encoding w media encoder (h264 1920x1080, 25 fps no audio)

$

Hello everyone,

My client expects us to deliver all videos in Full HD with a bitrate between 10 Mbit/s and 11,5 Mbit/s.

Media encoder delivers different results for each clip - no matter what settings I use.

I have tried 11,0 Mbit/s CBR and 11 Mbit/s VBR with both sliders (Min and MAX) set to 11,0 Mbit/s).

I have also tried different profiles (Main and High) and levels.

The videos are pretty much the same all the time - a model in front of a grey background.

Some videos always come out with a too high bitrate, some always with a too low bitrate.

I use mediainfo an ffprobe to check the bitrate of the videos.

Does anyone have an idea how to fix thís and produce videos with an continous and precise bitrate?

best regards,

Martin

Premiere sequence not rendering properly in AME

$

Hi All,

Strange problem never come across before.

I have a premiere sequence I send to AME to encode H264 1920x1080 - high bitrate

There are 2 issues:

1. At the start of the sequence I have audio that plays perfectly on the premiere output window but when rendered via AME cuts of the first second or so. I have checked everything in premiere and I export entire sequence not in/out etc.

2. I have some video/audio that is synced and sounds perfect in premiere but when rendered (same settings as above) causes it to be out of sync by a second or 2.

Any ideas please?

Thanks

Chris

AE Media Encoder Alpha issue

Hey There. I am having a major problem here trying to export alpha transparency in Media Encoder from After Effects. I've been pulling my hair for a week trying different settings/etc and when I finally seemed to get things down, then something else would pop up. So, now when I used all my fancy customized presets, I now get a stupid 'ring/border-like' artifact thing wrapped around my object (with transparency behind that!!!!!!!!!). I spent all night again Googling and trying different settings but the results are all the same.  http://slhgraphics.com/MediaEncoderAlpha

AE/Media Encoder? NOT very intuitive and confusing process between the two, in my opinion. Shouldn't be this hard. I was getting 3gb files when I only needed 35mb and had to spend hours trying to figure out how to knock that size down in qt!!!!!!!! Not happy.
